The Blank Canvas Income Statement & Summary

Project F.L.I.P’s final event of the year “The Blank Canvas” was a success and we would like to thank everyone who came and support. We hope you enjoyed the night as much as we did.

Also, special thanks to Lum U Jun (Marco) and Eve management for collaborating with us for this event. U Jun has given us the flexibility to organise and plan the event to suit our needs and thanks to him, we managed to make the most out of it. To all artists, designers and models (zillie and shaz to list their names), a big thank you, and we truly appreciate you in putting the effort to making it such a successful one. Not to mention, to our friends and families who donated to our cause, we thank you for your generosity.

Through this event, Project F.L.I.P managed to raise an additional AUD$2,395.00, bringing the total balance to a whopping AUD$9812. An income statement is produced by Mun Fye Chang and Wei-Xiang Teoh of the Finance Division of Project F.L.I.P. Supporting this document will be the Project F.L.I.P’s final bank account statement which will be published on http://forloveinpeople.blogspot.com. As most of you would know, there is a Project F.L.I.P. group page on Facebook and we would love for everyone to be a part of it.

As much as we hate to say, this would be Project F.L.I.P’s official closure. It’s been a wonderful year with three successful events, namely “The Beatles Unplugged”, “ROFL” and “The Blank Canvas”. Project F.L.I.P would like to express our gratitude to all our friends and everyone who came and support our cause. We couldn’t have done it without you. Many thanks to Miss Libertine, Comics Lounge and Eve for providing the venues, it’s been a pleasure.

art for art's sake

what is art?
for years, people have been trying to define what exactly the term "art" entails.
is it something that can only be found in a museum?

or does it have to be unique and the only one of its kind?

we here, at Project FLIP absolutely refuse to classify art into terms and definitions.
instead, we choose to celebrate art, in all forms, shapes and sizes!
with The Blank Canvas, we aim to promote this philosophy!
we have scoured all over Melbourne to present to you 8 different, unique and individual artists from different fields and area of arts.

So, without any further ado,
the first artist we will be working with is

Ms Mardiana Sani.

Mardiana Sani is a Malaysian born photographer who is currently living and working in Melbourne. While she claims that her specialities lie in fashion and portraiture, a quick scroll through her portfolio would prove that statement wrong.

Clearly, a talented photographer, Mardiana Sani manages to bring a sense of emotion and vulnerability to her works. Contrasting this with her use of her technological insight, the final result is stunning. A photograph that will definitely linger in your mind long after you have seen it.

Round 2:

The beautiful Alexandra Lester

Having studied digital art both at Swinburne and RMIT, Alexandra is now freelancing as a designer and illustrator.

This year she has received an award for RMIT students who demonstrated academic excellence and leadership in design, Alexandra is currently developing graphics for an iPhone game that she is creating with friends.

And thaaaaaaaat,
concludes our sneak peek on this upcoming event.
be sure to tune in for more details on the other artists!

Don't mean to FLIP you all out but ...

Project FLIP is absolutely delighted to present you our final event of the year, The Blank Canvas!

We are so grateful for all the support and love that have been given to us for the past two events by our ever-so-loyal fans, so we are going to give back the love! With The Blank Canvas, we are going to work with 8 different independent artists from various fields to give you an art exhibition and a fashion runway show.

Each artist are students at the top of their fields and will present up to four different art pieces from their respective fields. That is, the photographer will present their best photographs, the graphic designer will showcase their best designs, the sculptor will display their sculptures, the fashion students will have models strutting their clothes on the runway!

And if that's not good enough for you, throughout the night, one piece from each artist will be auctioned off to the audience, where SURPRISE SURPRISE, all profits will go to charity. If THAT is STILL not good enough for you, we will also be auctioning off some of the artist's skills and talents.

For instance, if your heart desires a photoshoot with the photographer, then that is what you will get! What could be better than a glamourous shoot with you and your friends? Need a fashion makeover or a wardrobe revamp? Get that fashionista on your side!

(Artists involved will be announced shortly. Check back for more details!)

The Blank Canvas aims to promote the unique artistic talents of everybody. With that said, on the night of the event, we will be displaying a GINORMOUS canvas where everyone can leave their own artistic imprint on it. Remember, we are showing you "our art", so heres the chance to show us yours! Flaunt that creativity of yours!

On top of that, after the event, stay back for a night of music, drinks and dancing!

Tickets are available for only $30
*includes EVE club entry fee

Once again, this Project FLIP event is endorsed and supported by World Vision Malaysia. Project FLIP aims to raise more money for the world emergency relief funds to help the victims of the recent natural disasters in Haiti and Chile. So please, if you are an art lover or just like a good party, come help us out with our cause.
